A Plan Of Action A Plan Of Action Presentation Transcript

    • A Plan of Action
      • Pleasing God is one of the staples that not only holds our lives together, but it is the fundamental choice that is most commensurate with God’s interaction and involvement with us. As we seek to please Him, perishing becomes impossible and prospering in all things becomes possible.
    • A Plan of Action
      • Philippians 2:12-13 (NLT) 12 Dearest friends, you were always so careful to follow my instructions when I was with you. And now that I am away you must be even more careful to put into action God’s saving work in your lives, obeying God with deep reverence and fear. 13 For God is working in you, giving you the desire to obey him and the power to do what pleases him.
    • A Plan of Action
      • Philippians 2:12-13 (NKJV) 12 Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling; 13 for it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure.
    • A Plan of Action
      • A plan of action begins with a fundamental understanding of what God wants
      • A personal relationship – Leviticus 11:44; 1 Peter 1:16 (it is written)
        • After all, I, the LORD, am your God. You must be holy because I am holy…
      • No one should perish – 2 Peter 3:9
        • The Lord isn’t really being slow about his promise to return, as some people think. No, he is being patient for your sake. He does not want anyone to perish, so he is giving more time for everyone to repent.
      • All can prosper – 3 John 1:2
        • Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.
    • A Plan of Action
      • Barriers and Obstacles
      • Philippians 2:14 (NLT) In everything you do, stay away from complaining and arguing
        • Fear – doubting God
        • Fretting – disputing God
        • Faithlessness – disappointing God
    • A Plan of Action
      • Being Obstinate
        • Consider challenging your successful performances
        • Was that the best I could do?
        • Am I as involved in my destiny as I should be; just because God knows all doesn’t remove our responsibility to take action
        • Have I institutionalized my behavior – become my own denomination?
    • A Plan of Action
      • Be Observant
        • Consider changing your start position
        • Don’t miss alignment opportunities – each day we have the power to choose
        • Measure allegiances to things that have never proven healthy – who said this is the way it has to be
        • Make adjustments based upon – purpose, passion, and personality
    • A Plan of Action
      • Be Operational
      • Consciously be a solution provider; anyone can spot a problem and announce its existence
      • Anyone can selfishly direct responsibility to someone else
      • Anyone can seek the Lord, ask for wisdom, and establish a plan of action
    • A Plan of Action
      • Philippians 2:13 (NLT) For God is working in you, giving you the desire to obey him and the power to do what pleases him.
    • A Plan of Action
      • Being Obedient
      • Personal exposure
        • Hosea 10:12 (NKJV) Sow for yourselves righteousness; Reap in mercy; Break up your fallow ground, For it is time to seek the Lord, Till He comes and rains righteousness on you.
        • Fallow – plowed but left unseeded, inactivity
    • A Plan of Action
      • Being Obedient
      • Prerequisites exist
        • 2 Kings 3:16-17 (NKJV) 16 And he said, “Thus says the Lord: ‘Make this valley full of ditches.’ 17 For thus says the Lord: ‘You shall not see wind, nor shall you see rain; yet that valley shall be filled with water, so that you, your cattle, and your animals may drink.’
    • A Plan of Action
      • Being Obedient
      • Profound – everything God has done since creation has involved creation
        • 2 Kings 5:10 (NKJV) And Elisha sent a messenger to him, saying, “Go and wash in the Jordan seven times, and your flesh shall be restored to you, and you shall be clean.”
        • 2 Kings 4:3-4 (NKJV) 3 Then he said, “Go, borrow vessels from everywhere, from all your neighbors—empty vessels; do not gather just a few. 4 And when you have come in, you shall shut the door behind you and your sons; then pour it into all those vessels, and set aside the full ones.”
    • A Plan of Action
      • What is God’s plan and purpose?
      • Is my heart, mind and spirit aligned to His plan and purpose?
      • Where am I right not?
      • What are the barriers and obstacles – fear, fret, faithlessness, and or obstinacy
      • What do I see?
      • Am I operating according to God’s Word?
      • Am I an obedient individual?
