  • LISTENING “ What are you for Halloween?” Pre-listening While-listening Post-listening
  • PRE-LISTENING RATIONALE
    • Create expectations about the listening.
    • Motivate.
    • Familiarize children with the new topic.
    • Acquire new vocabulary.
  • PRE-LISTENING ACTIVITIES
    • Ask children about their knowledge of Halloween night.
    • Increase their knowledge through extra information.
    • Teach them the new vocabulary by flashcards.
  • WHILE-LISTENING RATIONALE
    • Make sure that they understand the song.
    • Infere in the meaning of the song, specially in the new vocabulary.
    • Active participation.
    • Improve pronunciation.
  • WHILE-LISTENING ACTIVITIES
    • Sing the song all together.
    • Sing the song clapping our hands or stepping our feet.
    • Gesture or represent the song in groups (ghosts, witches, pumpkins and mummies).

    • Make sure that children have understand the topic, and also the new vocabulary.
    • Improve the grammatical compentence.
    • Foster the comprehension.
    • Enhance children imagination and creation.

    • Guess which new word is being described.
    • Write a description about something relationated with Halloween.
    • Make a typical Halloween pumpkin.
