Registration Fee: Free for students and their parents or teachers; for other attendees, $10
will be charged for lunch.
Included in this year’s Careers Day Dr Schork will talk about his research, job
prospects in his field, what it takes to be successful in it, and what roles statistical
geneticists can take on in it; the Panel Discussion will address the job opportunities in
statistics, what attributes employers look for when hiring, and how to be successful;
awards for winners from the Greater San Diego Science and Engineering Fair; a student
poster competition; opportunities to talk with representatives from academia, biotech,
computer, marketing, and pharmaceutical companies, and government agencies of the
San Diego and southern California areas.

The nearest parking lot on the UCSD La Jolla campus to the CMG building is P604.
FREE UCSD parking is available on weekends, but read the signs before you park –
some spaces are still reserved.
