Master of Photography: Ansel Adams Born: 1902 Famous For: Died: 1984 The Face of Half Dome Type of Photography: landscape B&W or Color: Sample Image Black and white Biographical Information: Adams was from California, as a childe he had no interest in sports but always enjoyed nature. In 1927 Ansel produced his first photo. Sample Image Description of Work: Sample Image Most of Ansels pictures where done in black and white but also experimented with color. Ansel thought that working with color could be distracting from the true beauty of the photo. His photos helped photography as an art that was seen as other forms of art like art and music.

At the age of 16 he studied under William Page. When he got older Mathew opened up a photography studio. Sample Image Description of Work: In 1862 most of Mathews work was pictures from battle of Atnietam. Later he took many pictures of the American civil war. Julia's photography career lasted a total of eleven years. She started photographing at the age of 48. Sample Image Description of Work: Many of her pictures are done using sepia tones. All The people she photographs have a very natural look to them .Her pictures in my opinion show how simple she might have lived. Sample Image

Alfred was highly intelligent who spent most of his education in private school. Alfred refused to sell any of his photos. In New York he was a photographer for news week. Sample Image Description of Work: Smiths work shower graphic details from the world war two. For 8 years smith photographed jazz musicians. Art and literature were big parts of Lange’s upbringing. By 1918 Lange was living in san Francisco and soon running a successful portrait studio. Master of Photography: Alexander Rodchenko Born: Dec. 5, 1891 Died: Dec. 3, 1956 Famous For: one of the founders of constructivism and Russian design Type of Photography: B&W or Color: B&W Sample Image Sample Image artist, sculptor, photographer and graphic designer. Photomontage Biographical Information: Alexander Rodchenko entered the Kazan school of fines arts for his interest in photography in 1910 and graduated in 1914. in 1915 Rodchenko moved to Moscow and enrolled in the Graphic section of the Stroganov School of Applied Art. From 1917 to 1921 Rodchenko had his own exhibition called exhibition of works by Rodchenko. Rodchenko took up a different type of art called photomontage. he started creating his own photography and received many graphic design commissions for book covers and posters, in 1923 Description of Work: Rodchenko’s art had a lot of patter in it. Frank immigrated to the United States in 1947 and secured a job in new York city as a fashion photographer for Harpers Bazaar. Soon left to south America and Europe to shoot more pictures than returned to America in 1950. later frank married Mary Lockspeiser and had to children Pablo and Andrea. Later divorced. He has documented the inside of man down to the level of a cell. Beginning his career as a photojournalist in the middle of the 1940’s. he was under contract as a photographer from 19651972. Nilsson has established an international reputation for his films for television on the human body, but he has also directed his attention to the animal world and the plant and insect world. Nilsson received a lot of eminent awards and prizes for his photographic work.. Nilsson received the 12th presentation of the Swedish government’s Illis Quorum, in 2002. the Swedish Government awards Lennart Nilsson the honorary title of professor, in 2009. Description of Work: Many people liked lennart Nilsson's work. I find it quite strange. It is in color and it is the fetal process of mankind in the womb. Sample Image

Liebovitz took a job in rolling stones magazine in 1970. she later began working for entertainment magazine vanity fair in 1983. in the late 1980’s liebovitz started a number of high- profile advertising campaigns. From the 1990’s to present day she has been working on publishing and exhibiting her work. Sample Image Description of Work: Work is in black and white, and color. In 1944 Avedon began working as an advertising photographer for a department store, but was discovered by the art director for the fashion magazine Harper's bazaar. In 1945 his photographs started showing in junior bazaar and than later on in bazaar itself. In 1946 Avedon set up his own studio and provided picture for other magazines. He's soon became the chief photographer for Harper's bazaar. Description of Work: Photographs contain people in them,. They are black and white images. More modern looking. Sample Image

While attending public school, at the age of 14 ueslmann’s interest in photography sparked. While in school he managed to get a couple of photography gigs. When grown he started teaching photography at the university of Florida in 1960. in 1967 ueslmann had his first solo exhibit at the museum of modern art.
