Crucified, Dead & Buried John 19:17-42

John 19:17 So the soldiers took charge of Jesus. Carrying his own cross, he went out to The Place of the Skull. Crucified

Jn. 19:19 It read: Jesus of Nazareth, the King of the Jews. Crucified

Isaiah 53:12 I will give him a portion among the great, and he will divide the spoils with the strong, because he poured out his life unto death, and was numbered with the transgressors . For he bore the sin of many… Crucified

Psalm 22:18 They divide my garments among them and cast lots for my clothing . Crucified

Mark 15:29-32 Those who passed by hurled insults at him, shaking their heads and saying, “So! You who are going to destroy the temple and build it in three days, come down from the cross and save yourself! Crucified

Luke 2:34 This child is destined to cause the falling and rising of many in Israel, and to be a sign that will be spoken against, so that the thoughts of many hearts will be revealed. And a sword will pierce your own soul too. Crucified

John 19:28 Later, knowing that all was now completed, and so that the Scripture would be fulfilled, Jesus said, “I am thirsty.” Dead

Jn. 19:31 Now it was the day of Preparation, and the next day was to be a special Sabbath. Because the Jews did not want the bodies left on the crosses during the Sabbath, they asked Pilate to have the legs broken and the bodies taken down. Buried

Numbers 9:12 They must not leave any of it till morning or break any of its bones…. Buried

Psalm 34:20 He protects all his bones, not one of them will be broken. Buried

John 19:34 Instead, one of the soldiers pierced Jesus’ side with a spear, bringing a sudden flow of blood and water …. And as another scripture says, “They will look on the one they have pierced .” Buried

John 19:38 Joseph of Arimathea asked Pilate for the body of Jesus. He was a disciple of Jesus, but secretly because he feared the Jews. With Pilate’s permission he came and took the body. Buried

John 19:41 At the place where Jesus was crucified, there was a garden, and in the garden a new tomb , in which no one had ever been laid. Buried

John 7:50 Nicodemus, who had gone to Jesus earlier and who was one of their own number, asked, “Does our law condemn a man without first hearing him to find out what he is doing?” Buried
