Developing Your Prayer Life The Importance of Intercession

Intercession is praying for others.

AUTHORITIES/LEADERS1 Timothy 2:1 I urge, then, first of all,that requests, prayers, intercession andthanksgiving be made for everyone-- 2forkings and all those in authority, that wemay live peaceful and quiet lives in allgodliness and holiness.

BROTHERS AND SISTERS IN THE FAITHEphesians 6:18 And pray in the Spirit onall occasions with all kinds of prayersand requests. With this in mind, be alertand always keep on praying for all thesaints.

MINISTRY TO PEOPLEEphesians 6:19 Pray also for me, thatwhenever I open my mouth, words maybe given me so that I will fearlessly makeknown the mystery of the gospel, 20forwhich I am an ambassador in chains.Pray that I may declare it fearlessly, as Ishould.

12 givingthanks to the Father, who hasqualified us to share in the inheritanceof the saints in light.

Ephesians 1:17 I keep asking that theGod of our Lord Jesus Christ, theglorious Father, may give you the Spiritof wisdom and revelation, so that youmay know him better.

18 Ipray also that the eyes of your heartmay be enlightened in order that youmay know the hope to which he hascalled you, the riches of his gloriousinheritance in the saints,

19 and his incomparably great power forus who believe. That power is like theworking of his mighty strength...
