  • 1. Is God Doing an Intervention With You?
  • 2. Connect: Seeking God With All Your Heart
    • Hosea 8:2 Israel cries out to me,
    • “ O our God, we acknowledge you!”
  • 3.
    • Hosea 8:12 “I wrote for them the many things of my law, but they regarded them as something alien.”
  • 4.
    • Hosea 8:14 “Israel has forgotten his Maker and built palaces; Judah has fortified many towns. But I will send fire upon their cities that will consume their fortresses.”
  • 5.
    • Hosea 9:1 “ You have been unfaithful to your God…”
  • 6.
    • Hosea 9:2 “Threshing floors and winepresses will not feed the people; their new wine will fail them.
  • 7.
    • Hosea 9:7 The days of punishment are coming, the days of reckoning are at hand.
  • 8.
    • Hosea 10:1 “Israel was a spreading vine; he brought forth fruit for himself. As his fruit increased, he built more altars; as his land prospered, he adorned his sacred stones. Their heart is deceitful.”
  • 9.
    • Hosea 10:7 “Samaria and its king will float away like a twig on the surface of the waters.”
  • 10.
    • Hosea 10:12 “Sow for yourselves righteousness, reap the fruit of unfailing love, and break up your unplowed ground; for it is time to seek the Lord, until he comes and showers righteousness on you.”
  • 11.
    • Hosea 11:1 “When Israel was a child, I loved him, and out of Egypt I called my son. But the more I called Israel, the further they went from me.”
  • 12.
    • Hosea 11:3 “It was I who taught Ephraim to walk, taking them by the arms; but they did not realize it was I who healed them. I led them with cords of human kindness, with ties of love; I lifted the yoke from their neck and bent down to feed them.”
  • 13.
    • Hosea 11:5 "Will they not return to Egypt and will not Assyria rule over them because they refuse to repent?”
  • 14.
    • Hosea 11:7 “My people are determined to turn from me. Even if they call to the Most High, he will by no means exalt them.”
  • 15.
    • Hosea 13:6 “When I fed them, they were satisfied; when they were satisfied, they became proud; then they forgot me.”
  • 16.
    • Deuteronomy 8:6 Observe the commands of the LORD your God, walking in his ways and revering him.
  • 17.
    • Deuteronomy 8:7 For the LORD your God is bringing you into a good land--a land with streams and pools of water, with springs flowing in the valleys and hills; 8 a land with wheat and barley, vines and fig trees, pomegranates, olive oil and honey;
  • 18.
    • 9 a land where bread will not be scarce and you will lack nothing; a land where the rocks are iron and you can dig copper out of the hills.
  • 19.
    • Deuteronomy 8:10 When you have eaten and are satisfied, praise the LORD your God for the good land he has given you.
  • 20.
    • Deuteronomy 8:11 Be careful that you do not forget the LORD your God, failing to observe his commands, his laws and his decrees that I am giving you this day.
  • 21.
    • Deuteronomy 8:12 Otherwise, when you eat and are satisfied, when you build fine houses and settle down, 13 and when your herds and flocks grow large and your silver and gold increase and all you have is multiplied,
  • 22.
    • 14 then your heart will become proud and you will forget the LORD your God, who brought you out of Egypt, out of the land of slavery.
  • 23.
    • Deuteronomy 8:15 He led you through the vast and dreadful desert, that thirsty and waterless land, with its venomous snakes and scorpions. He brought you water out of hard rock.
  • 24.
    • 16 He gave you manna to eat in the desert, something your fathers had never known, to humble and to test you so that in the end it might go well with you. 17 You may say to yourself, "My power and the strength of my hands have produced this wealth for me."
  • 25.
    • Deuteronomy 8:18 But remember the LORD your God, for it is he who gives you the ability to produce wealth, and so confirms his covenant, which he swore to your forefathers, as it is today.
  • 26.
    • Deuteronomy 8:19 If you ever forget the LORD your God and follow other gods and worship and bow down to them, I testify against you today that you will surely be destroyed. 20 Like the nations the LORD destroyed before you, so you will be destroyed for not obeying the LORD your God.
  • 27.
    • Hosea 13:6 The people of Samaria must bear their guilt, because they have rebelled against their God. They will fall by the sword; their little ones will be dashed to the ground, their pregnant women ripped open."
  • 28.
