  12. 12. 26 The servant fell on his knees beforehim. 'Be patient with me,'he begged, 'and I will pay back everything.'
  13. 13. 27The servant's master took pity on him, canceledthe debt and let himgo.
  14. 14. 28 But when that servant went out, he found one of his fellowservants whoowed him ahundred denarii. He grabbed him and began to choke him. 'Pay back what you oweme!' hedemanded.
  15. 15. 29 His fellowservant fell to his knees and begged him,'Be patient withme,and I will pay you back.'
  16. 16. 30 But he refused. Instead, he went off and had the man thrown into prison until he couldpay the debt.
  17. 17. 31 When the other servants saw what had happened, they weregreatly distressed and went and told their master everything that had happened.
  18. 18. 32 Then the master called the servant in. 'You wickedservant,' he said, 'I canceledall that debt of yours because you begged me to.
  19. 19. 33 Shouldn't you have had mercy on your fellow servant just as I had on you?'
  20. 20. 34In anger his master turned him over to the jailers to betortured, until he should pay back all he owed.
  21. 21. 35 This is how my heavenly Father willtreat each of you unless you forgive your brother fromyour heart."
  22. 22. 27The servant's master took pity on him, canceledthe debt and let himgo.
