INTRODUCTION The combined and separated research advancement in the fields of sensing, communication and computing has driven the research efforts in wireless sensor networks. A wireless sensor network is composed of large number of sensor nodes that communicate with each other through multi hop wireless links. Land slide monitoring mainly relies on two sensors 1. Liquid level sensor 2. Angle sensors Landslide warning system is based on wireless sensor networks using zigbee protocol.

    • 5. DESCRIPTION The landslide warning system is based on Zigbee wireless communicationProtocol, adopts the CC2430 chip for wireless data transmission. System structure diagram
    • 6. HARDWARE DESIGN The hardware uses CC2430 as the processing core component. It is a system on chip specifically suited for IEEE 802.15.4 and zigbee applications. In a single chip it integrated zigbee RF, memory and 8051 microcontroller. When the system is in spare mode, CC2430 automatically goes into sleeping mode and can switch between sleeping mode and active made in ultra short time.

    • 8. SENSORS HARDWARE CONNECTION ANGLE SENSOR: The landslide warning system uses SCA60C as angle sensor. It is used to detect the mountain angle. Angle sensor hardware connection
    • 9. LIQUID LEVEL SENSOR: Liquid level sensors adopts PTP601, it integrates apressure level sensor and a signal amplifier. Liquid level sensor connection
    • 10. DESIGN OF THE COORDINATOR The coordinator node has a GSM module and a serial communication module. It chooses SP3223 as the serial communication module. Schematic circuit of serial module

    • 12. SOFTWARE DESIGNThis design adopts z-stack2006 which is free and half open source zigbee protocol stack. It is made up of MAC layer, physical layer, network layer and application layer.A zigbee network allows one zigbee coordinator.

    • 14. CONCLUSION The sensor nodes are the bases of wireless sensor networks. It includes a sensor network node system for landslide based on CC2430 which can monitor the situation of mountain.
