  • How did you start up a company?= “we started of as landscape contractors, and currently we diversify during the 6 years and we did design as well so we are both consultants and contractors”Do you appreciate working as a landscape architect? (knowing that this is a family business) is it under pressure to work there?= “I think it was sort of like a brainwash when you’re a young kid, my dad used to bring me to construction sites and I think that is where I got the appreciation for landscape and also a bit of construction” “obviously there is a bit of pressure because family has a business of the same certain level and I think I coped with it pretty well *laugh*”In terms of design, tell us about the moment you decided that this is where you want to go. And how did you start doing it?=“I guess starting your job as a contractor in the early years we decided to just try a bit of design and when you are doing the projects we tend to familiarize yourself with all the latest design as well and we thought we can also do just as well as what these people can do so what I decided to do is that I form a partnership with few other landscape architects” “I THINK THAT LANDSCAPE HAS PLAYED A VERY SIGNIFICANT PART NOWADAYS”

    • 2. Landscape architecture is the design of outdoor public areas, landmarks, and structures to achieve environmental, social-behavioral, or aesthetic outcomes. It involves the systematic investigation of existing social, ecological, and geological conditions and processes in the landscape, and the design of interventions that will produce the desired outcome. A practitioner in the profession of landscape architecture is called a Landscape Architect. What does landscape architect do? The activities of a landscape architect can range from the creation of public parks and parkways to site planning for campuses and corporate office parks, from the design of residential estates to the design of civil infrastructure and the management of large wilderness areas or reclamation of degraded landscapes such as mines or landfills. Landscape architects work on all types of structures and external space - large or small, urban, suburban and rural, and with "hard" (built) and "soft" (planted) materials, while integrating ecological sustainability.
