Requires : basic understanding of how to use Sketchup and Waybe (online video tutorials available)
Devote a class to teaching each design stage (developing, modeling, building and presenting)
Optional: Each student group (1-10 students) is given a finished Sketchup design to build and submit as practice
Student groups are assigned to design, model, build and present their work. Design constraints could include:
Type of object (ie. building, product packaging, etc)
Shapes to include (ie. incorporate 4 cylindrical shapes)
Prototype of actual object (ie. blackberry)

Part of reverse engineering is taking good care of the finished product that you are working from
Each student group (1-10 students) is provided with the “final” product
Student groups are to make a 3D Sketchup model which matches the coloring, dimensions and shape of the “final” product
Optional: This model can be built with Waybe, allowing real world comparisons and teaching fabrication skills.

1 class to teach Sketchup and Waybe. Lessons about the various components of the city and their function.
Each student group (1-10 students) is given a building to design and build. All designs should be built to scale in Sketchup
Students are given the scale ratio (ie. 1/100) and they are assigned to build their paper building to that scale.
The historical location is integrated and used for lessons, presentations, etc.
