  • 1. Social Media Secrets Of The World’s Most Successful Websites (Audit and commentary) Would you like to take a closer look at the most successful examples of social media use from all around the world for a successful social media optimization? There are many websites that get great amount of traffic from social media sites thanks to their successful social media integration. We hope to inspire you about what you can do by studying successful social media looks and the things they do right. Our first example is from a content website, TheNextWeb:
  • 2. TheNextWeb uses big images in their posts and makes sure that the writer’s information is included in all posts. We believe that it’s very effective to show who the writer is if you’re publishing content on your website. To make it happen, all you need to do is using :author field. Once you send writer’s information to Optlook using :author variable, the information will be visible on Facebook posts. Our second example is one of the most successful e-commerce websites in the world, fab.com: Fab has a special look for its social media appearances. The image looks small because it has been created for the earlier Facebook design, however what should be underlined in this post is that a special image that reflects the brand is used. Moreover, Fab uses the description area very elaborately to explain what Fab is. Hint: Start social media optimization from your homepage. Go to the homepage update screen on Optlook and upload an image that includes your logo. Now, let’s take a look at a product page on Fab.com:
  • 3. Fab effectively uses the discount rates of the products in its headlines. Making these rates visible by adding them to the headlines is an important factor in the impact of your social media look. It’s also very powerful to write the description texts in the first person. Fab’s descriptions are not written for Google search results but for social media and in accord with the dynamics of social sharing. If you want to get results from social networks, you need to write your texts according to the rules of social media. Today, even the mosy successful platforms spend great amount of energy for their social media optimization. We’ll share two striking examples.
  • 4. The first one comes from Swarm: We’ve already said that all posts that are shared on social media have the quality of a friend’s advice and they have great value for marketers. Swarm knows how to use this. Using names in their posts, Swarm invites other people to be a part of the community. That way, it implements the basics of a successful social media look to posts.
  • 5. Our other example is a question-and-answer platform, Quora: Quora is a question-and-answer platform. When you share a question it shows how many people is following it. This is a purely social approach. If it were written for SEO, there would be standard texts about the question and its content. Besides, “Be the first to answer” is a powerful message here.
  • 6. SpeedTest is one of those names that write excellent social media texts. Headline is written in the first person and directed to the reader. The image visualizes the user’s current connection speed and the description includes a powerful message that encourages people to click the link. Since it’s registered as a Facebook app, this information is also included in the post.
