Open Source • GENIVI has moved former member projects into the open source and invites all interested parties to participate in building the code • As of today, 17 open source projects are hosted by GENIVI on http://projects.genivi.org/ and many others are coming • Either develop by members (IVI Layer Management, Lifecycle Management, etc.) • Or by Third Parties like Ford, that chose GENIVI to host their Smart Device Link project (http://projects.genivi.org/smartdevicelink/) 26-Sep-13 GENIVI is a registered trademark of the GENIVI Alliance in the USA and other countries Copyright © GENIVI Alliance 2013 4

Collaboration • GENIVI collaborate with various alliances, consortia, associations like: – World Wild Web Consortium (W3C) on Web API Vehicle to access vehicle data from HTML5 – AVnu on Ethernet Audio/Video streaming – Traveller Information Services Association (TISA) on traffic information (TPEG format) – Car Connectivity Consortium on smartphone in-car connectivity • GENIVI also welcome proposals for new projects even from non-member organizations 26-Sep-13 GENIVI is a registered trademark of the GENIVI Alliance in the USA and other countries Copyright © GENIVI Alliance 2013 5
