  • How it Works• In the normal state (on standby) – Web/App servers are off (only paying for storage) and images are maintained with current code – DB servers are in a minimum configuration to receive data feed – Data is updated in the cloud based on desired RPO• Upon Declaration of Disaster – Web/App servers are turned on – DB servers are scaled – Can be done via APIs or UISlide 19 © 2011 OpSource, Inc. • Cloud-Based Server Replication Functional Modes Description Operational Mode During normal operations, local and remote users access their production servers. Real-time replica servers run in the Cloud. Failover Mode In the event of a server or site failure, traffic is redirected automatically to the replica environment – no downtime, no data loss. Failback Mode When the initial issue is resolved, new data is synchronized back to the production server(s) while users continue to work. Once complete, traffic is directed back to Operational Mode – no downtime, no data loss.Slide 29 © 2011 OpSource, Inc. All rights reserved.
