    • Focus is an earthquake’s internal point of rupture.
    • - This is where the earthquake starts to form, slowly evolving.

    • You cannot see the focus of an earthquake, because it is located far underground.
    • Focus can start from a small crack, and slowly grow larger and larger, causing catastrophic disasters.
