This could be interpreted as
Britney having power and
status that a man usually
would have but in this case
doesn’t.
Post-Feminist may see this as
enriching because she is touching
him of her own accord (she is in
control), this type of action is
usually associated with males but
post-feminist may see it as them
using there power.
This could be seen as
Britney having to use her
body to acquire what she
desires, using her body to
manipulate the officer.
Mostly, the men in the video
are seen to be looking at
Britney, even the baby perhaps
symbolising objectification of
women is subconsciously
taught at a young age. People
stare at her because of her
body, however because we
never see a shot from the male
point of view it can be classed
as post feminist as she doesn’t
care about male opinions
Britney is getting thoroughly
searched by a male police
officer, displaying her lack of
power in a sense however one
could argue that this is what
she wants as in the next shot
we see her walking away with
the officer’s handcuffs whilst
he’s buttoning his shirt
Britney is being rescued
my a man driving a car
whilst dancing with just a
bra and a skirt on, perhaps
conveying that she needs
to be rescued due to her
lack of power?
