  3. 3. Introduction<br />London isthebiggestcity in Europe.<br />12% of Britain’spopulationlive in London.<br />London wasthefirstcity in theworldtohaveanundergroundrailwayknown as the “Tube”.<br />There are over 100 theatres in London.<br />London ismade up of twoancientcities.<br />

The Great Fire of London<br />The Great Firebeganon a night of September,<br />1666, in thebakeshop of Thomas Farynor.<br />At this time, most of thehousesweremade of<br />wood and highlyflammable. Whenthefire<br />finished, ithaddestroyed 80% of thecity. One<br />positive effect of thefirewasthatitdestroyed<br />the plague of 1665.<br />
  5. 5. The Great Plague<br />In 1665 theBubonic Plague spread fromparish<br />toparishuntilthousands of peoplehaddied.<br />The Plague wasknown as the Black Death and it<br />wasa dreadfuldisease. Thevictim’sskinturned<br />black and combinedwithvomiting, swollen<br />tongue and splitingheadachesmadeitan<br />agonizingkiller. On 1666 the Great Firekilled<br />most of therats. <br />

  7. 7. AnneBoleyn<br />AnneBoleynwasbornbetween 1501 and 1507, and died on1536 executedby Henry. Shewasthesecondwife of Henry and queen of Englandfrom 1533 to 1536. Wasthefirstwifeexecutedby Henry. Hersubsequentexecutionmadeher a key figure of thepoliticalhistory of Britain.<br />
