    Introductions: In my Designing Flexible Learning Practice course blog (http://athena-odyssey.blogspot.com/) I have created an analogy of the journey similar to that of Odysseus and his crew on his return trip from the sacking of Troy and blended it another mythical story of Jason and the Argonaut search for the golden fleece in my case the golden fleece of knowledge (although the Jason and the Argonauts myth apparently was created and spoke of in the time before the sacking of Troy). My role as captain of this ship (aka Athena) was to guide myself and my crew (students and staff) through the journey of learning about designing flexible learning practice. I have likened my ship to the template vessel on http://www.blogger.com, where I have communicated my thoughts and navigate my answers as part of the Designing for Flexible Learning Practice course produced at Otago Polytechnic Education Development Centre (http://wikieducator.org/Designing_for_flexible_learning_practice), which I will refer to now on as DFLP. My reasons for the nom de plume and analogy or story was that initially I was rather web shy and did not want to place my name of profile to be openly viewed by the big world of the web. I felt a sense of personal exposure that I did not feel comfortable with. The other reason was that I really did not read the handout from the course properly and set of on a creative juncture.
