  • 4. INTRODUCTION Your identity is not a product of your circumstance, but you are a deliberate creation of God.
  • 5. SCRIPTURAL EXAMPLES Abraham (father of no nation.) Jacob (supplanter) Jephthah (son of a prostitute) Jesus (from Nazareth)
  • 6. Contemporary examples Lionel Messi (growth problem) Steve Jobs (an adopted child) Pastor Adeboye (wore a shoe at 18)
  • 7. 1. Know you are not aproduct of circumstancebut a deliberate creation of God. Gen.1:26-27, Jer.1:5.
  • 8. 2. Know that you are still “a work-in-progress” in God’shands. Jud.6:11-15, Gen.39:1-5 You may not look great now, but what you carry (potential) has capacity to change your entire life.
  • 9. 3. Don’t look for who to blame; don’t give excuses. Gen.3:12 You will always have reasons why you are not successful. Anytime you start complaining it shows that you are still not off the “hook” of your past.
  • 10. 4. Invest in yourself in the process. Jud.11:3, Gen.40:6-10 Take advantage of the available opportunities for your development.
