      What is Occupational Therapy? 
      Occupational Therapy (OT) retrains the body and brain to function more easily and efficiently with the tasks of everyday life.  Treatment focuses on the use of functional activities that are required to successfully participate in school, sports, play, work and routine tasks of daily living like dressing, organizing a back pack and transitioning between activities.
      OT OuTdoors Occupational Therapy specializes in evaluating and treating children and adults who have difficulty in the following areas:

      Services are provided by Occupational Therapists who are licensed and certified medical professionals.  OT OuTdoors Owner/Director Carrie Jacobs M,OTR/L and associate Jamie Jeffredo C,OTA/C have fifteen years combined experience in pediatric occupational therapy.  Carrie has specialized training in SIPT (Sensory Integration and Praxis Testing), Advanced Therapeutic Listening and Hippotherapy. In addition to working with clients at their private clinic they consult in the community and provide services to schools like The Balboa City School and Francis Parker.  
      OT Outdoors uses a wide variety of modalities to help their patients including:
      Aquatic Therapy - Occupational Therapy in a pool utilizing an anti-gravity environment
      Hippotherapy - Occupational Therapy utilizing a horse to facilitate core strengthening, propreoception and balance
      Therapeutic Listening - Utilizes specialized sounds and music to help with sensory regulation and related issues
