  2. SEGUE I think so many of our crazy habits and fears come from our parents.   WORRIED MOTHER Beginning/Premise: My mom is the typical, worried Mother. Growing up she was always saying, “Have fun but be careful! Make sure you wear your helmet!   Middle/Set Up: I am a 6ft, 200lb athlete but because of her I am afraid of snakes, spiders, heights, big dogs… and little ones, fast cars, and walking alone in the dark.   The other day I decided to sign up for this yoga class and she says, “Have fun but be careful! Make sure you wear your helmet.”   “But Mom, it’s just yoga.”   End/One Line Visual: “You know I saw on the news that this girl doing a headstand in yoga class and she fell and hurt her neck. She could have died!   I can’t believe I’m only guy in yoga class who wears a helmet
  3. We know eating healthy and exercise will make us fit eventually, but we want pleasure RIGHT NOW!
  4. The problem is, the pleasure we receive from eating unhealthy or choosing to play video games or watch tv rather than workout has a side effect of pain.
  5. We gain weight. Our muscles get tight and sore. Our hormones don’t function properly so we get add, anxiety, depression, frustration, etc. The problem is, we are seeking pleasure from the wrong sources. Eating an ice cream cone to feel better is conditioned in us at a young age, and physiologically sugar, the drug, does make you feel better instantaneously! But that pleasure goes away quickly and is replaced by pain.
  6. Go into slide motion creates emotion. Food effects mood. We are in the happiest place on earth and people are walking around stuffing their faces with treats trying to get more happy and more happy and more happy. Tomorrow, they will follow it up by regret and say ok, now I will be good. Because they associate doing the right thing with lack of pleasure. The goal is to get pleasure from exercise and eating right and other things in right. My little daughter Ava is my ultimate pleasure creator. She instantly makes me happy. She is electric.
