  1. 1. In 1985. a young man rised to be the General Secretary of the Communist Party, he’s name was Mihhail Gorbatšov. 1986. he declared initiatives which were the reconstruction and disclosure.
  2. 2. Very active in the fight were the Tartu students. On the On the 1. May they went to the parade with slogans against phosphorite, a little later, they put on one of the biggest symbols against phosphorite war. They weared yellow shirts with quote: Phosphorite? No, thanks!

  8. 8. 1988. on 16. november the Estonian SSR Council accepted The Declaration of Independence. Estonian SSR commenced breaking away from the Soviet Union.

  12. 12. In 1991. 20 August, the Council adopted with the Estonian Committee, they concerted the decision to confirm the independence of the Republic of Estonia and to apply for resumption of diplomatic relations.
  13. 13. 24-28. august were established formal relations with 26 different countries. E. Savisaare’s government announced that the rail, shipping, and so far refractory to Moscow's factories are Estonia's state property.
