To halve the proportion of the population that has never used the internet from 30 % to 15 % by 2015 50 % of citizens to use e-Government by 2015, All key cross-border public services, to be agreed by Member States in 2011, to be available online by 2015 To double public investment in ICT R&D to € 11 bn by 2020 ⇒  An Open Source-friendly Environment!

OW2con’2013 European Cloud Strategy Main goals: Ø  Standardization of the Cloud Ø  Safe and Fair Contract Terms and Conditions Ø  Cloud Private-Public Partnership Stimulation measures -  -  -  -  -  -  R&D support under Horizon 2020 on long-term challenges specific to cloud computing €50 billion boost to European networks Cloud-based public services: setting up businesses online; cross-border procurement and eHealth services; and access to public sector information. Studies, mentoring and counselling schemes, Raising awareness Campaign e-skills and digital entrepreneurship => We ask the Commission to make Europe more Cloud-active!

OW2con’2013 Access to finance for entrepreneurship and innovation Ø  Private and institutional investment in startups, Ø  Offering a range of tax reliefs such as : UK Entreprise investement Scheme and Seed Enterprise investment Scheme; Ø  Creation of European Venture capital funds Ø  Reinforcing business angels networks Ø  Inviting governments to buy more services from smaller businesses Ø  A new type of cross-European company which can be set up in 24 hours; Ø  Allowing acces to public markets (my company has been listed on the small capital market of the Warsaw Stock exchange, NewConnect) Ø  80 bln euro to finance European innovation Ø  Promote cloud research and Innovation within the Horizont 2020 programme
