This was an initiative by Department of Environment and Forest, Delhi Government. People residing in Delhi were asked to plant a million trees in the monsoon of 2011. Various sapling distribution points were made in busy public areas and people were asked to plant these saplings. Motive was to make Delhi 33% green, which is considered ideal for any city.

People wereinformed about the advantages of planting saplings and howsmall contribution from their end could make a big difference.• Various problems faced by people in their areas/coloniesregarding greenery were addressed and appropriate solutionswere suggested.CREATIVE STRATEGY
  • 5. • People were informed about what is needed to preserve theenvironment.• They were persuaded to take steps to make their city greener.• Information about, various sapling distribution points wasshared.• Various contests were conducted to enhance the engagementon page, winners were given eco-friendly gratification.• This was supported by various offline activities, like hoardingson bus stops, radio ads etc.COMMUNICATION APPROACH
  • 6. Use the existing suite of data that we have and convert it to:•Infographics•Cartoons•Slides•Videos•Banners•Comics for daily usage on FacebookCONTENT PROPOGATION & CREATION
  • 7. Offline-online initiative was a huge success and people reallyappreciated the efforts put in by Delhi Govt. A huge number ofpeople participated in this campaign. And, one million saplingswere planted within a very short span of time!ACCOMPLISHMENTS
