NMR News: Volume 3, Issue 3, March 2010 “ADVANCING PRODUCTS WITH PROVEN SCIENCE,” NMR’S MOTTO AT THE 2010 INTEGRATIVE HEALTHCARE SYMPOSIUM & NATURAL PRODUCTS EXPO WEST By: Latesha Richards, Marketing Coordinator During their second annual appearance at Integrative Healthcare Symposium (IHS) and their first at Natural Products Expo West (NPEW), representatives of Nutraceutical Medical Research (NMR) walked in prepared to discuss their evidence-based research expertise with natural product exhibitors on the show floors of IHS held at the Hilton Hotel in NYC on February 26 & 27 and NPEW at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, CA on March 12-14, 2010. In addition to their capabilities, they also sought to hone in on the forward-thinking activity that represents their pride, precision and dedication to partnership: Advancing Products with Proven Science, NMR’s new motto for 2010. NMR representatives were determined to showcase their two signature specialties, namely clinical trial design and implementation and medical writing/literature reviews and journal publication. As evident in their company name, NMR’s primary goal as a contract (clinical) research organization is to provide comprehensive scientific and clinical research services that give ingredients and products proven efficacy and safety using evidence-based approaches. But being acutely aware that smaller- sized companies may not have the necessary funding to sponsor large clinical studies, NMR chose instead to focus on building strategic relationships with them while offering them affordable 1

NMR News: Volume 3, Issue 3, March 2010 alternatives, such as medical writing and pilot study design as great ways to boost brand awareness and drive sales quickly, stay within budget, while getting a good feel for NMR’s professionalism, writing expertise, and performance. NMR was not surprised to learn that many companies were attracted to these smaller, niche projects. “NMR is built on a single philosophy: advancing products with proven science” says Jillian Capodice, NMR’s Vice President. “We want to let companies know that advancing their product or ingredient using innovative clinical trial design, intuitive management and impeccable reporting is what we do and what we stand for as a CRO. Our new motto will be core to all company services, relationships and activities we engage in.” Despite which package drew the most attention, NMR’s mission was pretty clear. Whether companies choose to work with NMR on a pilot study or large clinical trial, a powerful white paper or literature review, or on FDA or FTC compliance, NMR is equally capable and qualified to provide the scientific and clinical substantiation that both finished products and ingredients need to advance in today’s competitive marketplace.
