    • This week we learnt about Diwali, the Festival of Light.
    • We made firework pictures with glue and glitter. We made diva lamps too.
    • Our book of the week was “Rama and the Demon King”. It taught us the story of Diwali.
    • We enjoyed acting it out with masks. Xiomar pretended to be the Demon King.
    • Fay pretended to be Prince Rama.
    • Ridha pretended to be Princess Sita.
    • Rafiha pretended to be the Golden Fawn.
    • And Esmee pretended to be Hanuman the monkey.
    • The we sat down in the hall for our Diwali celebration.
    • As Diwali is the Festival of Light, we had some coloured lights and candles to decorate the hall.
    • Mrs Fraser talked to us about Diwali and then we sang our Diwali song.
    • We also sang a lovely song about fireworks and did some actions.
    • Then we all had a dance to some special Diwali music!
    • Rafiha, Elina and Evie did some beautiful dancing!
    • Mahmoud and Wesam danced together.
    • Asmaa made different shapes with her hands.
    • So did Shahed and Malakyah.
    • Then we all sat down to watch the lights being lit.
    • Miss Keeley and Mrs Fraser lit some candles.
    • They lit some of the clay divas that we had made too.
    • Then we all had a photo taken with our group. Here are the Rabbits with Mrs Fraser.
    • The Squirrels with Miss Taylor.
    • The Mice with Miss Opdam.
    • The Butterflies with Mrs Tomlinson.
    • The Frogs with Miss Clarke.
