My firm has
record profits,
but they are
laying me off

They pour
money into
advertising,
even though it
doesn’t work…
They brag about
terminating the
bottom 10%
every year.
They paint over
problems
instead of
actually solving
them.
They haven’t changed their business model in 50 years.
The executives think they totally rock;
the customers think they totally suck.
The company
promotes the
people who look
good, but who
seldom do good.
And now
they are
throwing ME
to the sharks!
I wish they
would drop the
hypocrisy and
just admit how
they really do
business.
They don’t love
customers, or
employees.
They love
money.
They talk about
relationships, but they
act like bullies.
They should band
together with
other like-minded
companies and
advertise what
they really believe
in…

  • @HermanDRS Idiotic post, Herman. What don't you understand about the human disconnect between 'record profits' and 'fired?' I mean, besides everything.

  • Hi, Richard Laycock.

    I have agreed to you...But, we are living under democracy society;

American constitution is very protected individual wright, and our society accepts economic competition...

The advanced education focuses of find out a talent students, even they have to spend much of money in debts...

The capital markets are selling human to get more profits...

The politician and administers are making together by lobby how to fix, regulate markets and the result has been obscence increases the costs...Education and healthcare are phony, don't pay attention of virtue to build good family, and community..Most fixing and regulating the rules are belong to the politicians, administers, and lobbyists who negotiate how to get more profits for them.. This is our actual society!!!

  • Anyone agreeing with this needs to go back and reread, or for most folks now days, check out for the first time, Adam Smith. There's a reason it's called 'the invisible hand'. In a truly open and free market, within a civil society, self-interest of the buyer and seller tend toward greater efficiency and the general welfare.
The goals here are admirable and the abuses real but whether the purveyors of this dream are idealists or opportunists they necessarily seek government to force virtue upon their citizens. Unless you're ignorant of history you already know how that turns out.
There is no open capital market in any developed country today, including America. We're working in manipulated markets top to bottom. Healthcare and Education are totally phony, regulated markets and the result has been obscene increases in costs. The rules controlling who can diagnose, prescribe, administer and dispense medical advice, drugs and care were all tightened in the 30's to protect doctors and medical corporate interests. The resulting increased costs are used by the politicians and lobbyists to demand more regulation in their interest to fix it. We're fixing it to Death right now.
'Higher Education' is even worse. DC has poured a trillion dollars into the market for students to pay for a college education. The easy money has inflated the salaries and costs of education into the stratosphere. Note, no one in either party calls for a stop to this insanity. The result is palatial universities, obscene salaries, preposterous tuitions and a generation of debt-enslaved graduates. The glorious edifices built with the billions of tax dollars doled out to universities and the 3:1 staff to faculty ratios would have been impossible in a free market economy. We ain't got one in the USA.
The manipulation of who makes products and who makes profits is being gathered up by politicians to sell to the highest bidder. This kind of sympathetic sob-story simply plays into their hand. If you really want to help, lend a hand personally or through your church or favorite charity to someone you know face to face. Keep the politicians out of it.
