  • In order to talk about windows azure we need to go back a little bit to the theory behind it. Windows azure is Microsoft's implementation of cloud computing so what does cloud computing mean? Is our first topic then we will discuss the main features and advantages of windows azure. And last and not least we will talk about security in windows azure.
  • Windows Azure: operating system as an online service that allows customers to run applications and store data on Internet accessible servers in Microsoft data centers. Compute: Virtualized compute environment based on Windows ServerStorage: Durable, scalable, & available storageManagement: Automated, model-driven management of the serviceSQL Azure: fully relational cloud database solution.Windows Azure platform AppFabric: Provides cloud services for connecting applications running in the cloud or on premises. Service Bus: General purpose application busAccess Control: Rules-driven, claims-based access controlMarketplace “Dallas”: (Data as a service) collections of public and commercial data sets that can be used in development, developers will be able to subscribe to privately owned data and access public domain data, such as United Nations statistical data.
