  • 3. Committee Charter <ul><li>Purpose </li></ul><ul><li>The purpose of the District Safety Committee shall be to review district safety and security programs and industry best practices to provide input to the district as to their application in Round Rock ISD. </li></ul>

Review School Safety Best Practices/Risk Assessments <ul><li>Texas School Safety Center – Campus Safety & Security Audit Toolkit </li></ul><ul><li>Fairfax County Public Schools (VA) – CRISIS Management Workbook </li></ul><ul><li>Florida OPPAGA School Safety & Security Best Practices - 2005-2006 School Safety & Security Self Assessment Form </li></ul><ul><li>US Department of Education – Practical Information on Crisis Planning: A Guide for Schools & Communities, May 2003 </li></ul><ul><li>Central Texas School Safety Consortium </li></ul>

Central Texas School Safety Consortium <ul><li>Operating under two Emergency Response Crisis Management grants from the U.S. Department of Education, 19 school districts and special schools in Travis and Williamson Counties and area emergency management officials have joined forces to form the Central Texas School Safety Consortium (CTSSC). </li></ul>

Central Texas School Safety Consortium <ul><li>Those districts are Austin, Del Valle, Eanes, Elgin, Florence, Georgetown, Hutto, Jarrell, Lago Vista, Lake Travis, Leander, Liberty Hill, Manor, Pflugerville, Round Rock, Taylor, Thrall, Texas School for the Deaf and Texas School for the Blind and Visually Impaired. </li></ul>
