    • Department of the Army Commander’s Award for Civilian Service Kristin Donofrio For her service leading a team of volunteers from the Norfolk District to participate in the annual Clean the Bay Day. The group removed approximately 3,135 pounds of trash.     • Department of the Army Commander’s Award for Civilian Service Chris Turner For his exemplary service as the Norfolk District Project Manager leading up to and during OpSail 2012 Virginia. Mr. Turner represented Norfolk District during committee meetings and coordinated activities at the District for vessel dockage, historic Fort Norfolk commemoration, visitor and dignitary access, and set-aside areas for viewing the Parade of Sail.     • Department of the Army Commander’s Award for Civilian Service Krista Sowers* For her exemplary service as the Norfolk District Welfare Council President from January 2011 through August 2012. While serving as the highly motivated and energetic president of the Welfare Council, she and her team planned and executed numerous successful events that enhanced district morale.
