Metadata on TV and on the Web
TV metadata includes content descriptions (title, summary, genre, concepts), esp. EPG data
Different formats e.g. TVAnytime, BMF, EBUCore
Web metadata is often missing
Little uptake for HTML META tag or microformats
Naive textual matching the usual approach
Some NLP/clustering
Some media formats have simple metadata associated with them
Some efforts towards more metadata, like schema.org
