    3. 3. INTRODUCTION Online Bus Ticket Reservation System is Windows basedapplication that works within centralized network. Thesoftware program “Online Bus Reservation System” providesbus transportation system, a facility to reserved seats,cancellation of seats and different types of enquiry which needan instant and quick reservation. OBTRS is built for manageand computerize the traditional database, ticket booking andtracking bus and travel made easy. It maintains all data’s ofusers , bus details, reservation details, booking details,customer details. Default username is admin and password is root.

ANALYSIS Requirement analysis is a software engineering task thatbridges the gap between the system level softwareallocation and software design. It enables the system engineer to specify softwarefunction and performance, indicate software interfacewith other system elements, and establish designconstraints that the software must meet. It provides the software designer with a representationof information and function that can be translated to data,architectural and procedural design.
    5. 5.  Introduction :Udankhatola is a domestic privatized transportation company thatruns the Buses all over the country. This is an web applicationwhich provides Booking of tickets all over the world. Problem statement :System that are using by the staff at the counter currently is aninternal system and just used to sell the bus ticket at the counter.Customer has to go to the counter to buy bus ticket or ask for busschedule. Furthermore, customers need to pay cash when they buythe bus ticket and sometimes needs to queue up long time to get thebus ticket. Besides that, customer also not allowed to buy bus ticketthrough telephone and the bus companys telephone always-busyline .
    6. 6. SOLUTIONThe method to solve this problem is to createan online booking bus ticket system . Customer can buythe book ticket over the Internet, 24 hours a day, 7 days aweek and the bus ticket cant be lost, stolen or leftbehind. In addition, the online system lets the customerscheck the availability of the bus ticket before they buybus ticket. Furthermore, customers no need to pay cashto buy bus ticket because they can pay the bus ticket onthe traveling time.

SCOPE The scope of the online bus ticket reservation system is:A person should be able to Login to the system through the first page of the application Change the password after logging into the system Should be able to create a new login for the accessing thereservation facility. Query the buses for two weeks (Only two weeks advancereservation is available).
    9. 9.  No reservation before two days can be done. Able to choose the seats which are available for a certainclass. Give details about the credit card. Improved & optimized service. Freight Revenue enhancement

USE CASE DIAGRAM “A use case is a description of a system’s behaviour as itresponds to a request that originates from outside of thatsystem (the user).” In other words a use case describes “who” can do “what”with the system in question. The use case technique isused to capture a system’s behavioural requirements bydetailing scenario-driven threads through the functionalrequirements. The use cases describe the system from theuser’s point of view! A use case is a standard set by,among other, UML 2.0. It is a non-technical descriptionof the behaviour of the system.
