  • 1. Making Restaurant Booth Seat More Comfortable Seating is an imperative part of every restaurant’s interior design. We can’t imagine the existence of any restaurant with no seating arrangements. That is why every restaurant, food chain or hotel owner puts his/her special attention on the types of tables, chairs, sofas and benches laid out inside restaurant booth. Chairs are the most common seating items that we can perceive in all food outlets and restaurants. They are selected on the basis of their style, design, type, price range and above all—comfort level. It is also quite clear that people enjoy themselves when they get a comfortable seating arrangement. When you think of selecting perfect seating for the booth, always keep in mind that people will come to your restaurant to sit comfortably, rest, and relax. To know more about perfect seating inside the booth, you need to know which seat suits the comfort need of food lovers who come to eat different foods and enjoy their precious time. What’s the difference between a spring seat and plywood seat for restaurant booth seating? Which is more comfortable? Naturally, you would think springs seats because they are more flexible. However, plywood seat, when using thicker foam, can be very comfortable as well. For example: if on spring seats we use 1.5’’ thick foam and on plywood seats we use 3’’ foam, the end comfort ability is similar. However, if we use 2’’ foam on a plywood seat, it will not be as comfortable. Springs have more flexibility which allows us to use less thick foam, whereas plywood seat will require more foam to achieve the same feel. The main draw back on spring seats is that the springs will sag over time, or occasionally one spring will go haywire and pop out. The main draw back on platform seat is it will require thicker foam to achieve the same comfort level on the restaurant booth.
  • 2. Remember, comfort is subjective but nobody wants to feel inconvenient while seating on a hard or soft seat. If you want to give a lot of comfort to visitors, make sure the seats and backs of the booths are soft. Using wooden back is not bad option but the use of soft fabrics can make a real difference.
