Exploring the Six Frames of Information Literacy
Information literacy: from the perspective of the participants
This workshop aims to identify the conceptions of information literacy held by the
participants of the UNESCO’s workshop and to develop a picture of their practice that arises
from their selection and ranking of two statements.
1. The posters displayed on the wall show lists of statements describe six different frames
of information literacy based on different approaches to learning and teaching. Read
these statements and a full explanation of the six frames found on pages 2 and 3 of this
handout.
