    • Advertising – print (£1 yields £5), online (£1 yields £3.44) television (£1 yields £2.15), radio and mobile
    • Personal selling
    • Email
    • Direct mail
    • Telemarketing
    • Exhibitions, seminars and webinars
    • PR (press and news releases)
    • PPC, Websites (SEO)
    • Social Media
  • What is Social Media?
    • "the use of web-based and mobile technologies to turn communication into interactive dialogue“.
    • It’s a time of major, rapid change.
    • This means disruption but also potential.
  • So Much Social Media
  • … and its still growing Most recently this has included:
    • Google Plus
    • Hashable Quora
  • The Current Leaders: Then there are Blogs and e-newspapers such as Paper.li

    • Over 50% of the population are under 30.
    • 1 in 5 divorces are blamed on Facebook.

    • 78% of internet users conduct research online.
    • There was more data in 2009 than in the previous 5,000 years

  • Why Should Our Customers Offer It?
    • Their clients expect immediate feedback and engagement
    • It’s an effective way to get new customers
    • It helps with SEO rankings for their website
    • It makes them appear current
    • They can monitor competitors
    • It can identify opportunities that you may miss
    • It provides good PR and profiling
    • Everyone should monitor their online reputation and Social Media enables this
    • Many businesses do not understand Social Media
        • Some think it is a waste of time
        • Others do not know where to begin
        • Some think it is too difficult
        • Many think it is something they should be doing – this is where we can offer a value added service
  • My Marketing Idea: We incorporate Social Media into our marketing for ourselves (have follow us buttons on the home page of the website and ensure presence on sites) We offer to set up and provide basic training to clients with regards to social media when purchasing our products – this provides a complete package
  • In conclusion
    • Social Media will keep your profile at the forefront of clients’ and potential clients’ minds:
        • It informs
        • It allows networking with more people
        • It enables you to sell
        • It encourages people to use us for repeat business as our profile acts as a constant reminder
