  2. 2. Case Study For further information, please contact us at presales@netsolutionsindia.com www.netsolutionsindia.com Front Rush, LLC was formed by former college athletes, former college coaches, entrepreneurs and all around geeks with an aim to develop a user-friendly software for college coaches to streamline their recruiting process. The Front Rush team envisioned to make Front Rush a truly universal app – accessible on multiple screens and mobile platforms with enhanced features and better usability. THE PROBLEM THE CHALLENGE Defining the Requirements Since Front Rush was the first on to come out with a concept to develop an athlete recruiting software, it was difficult to determine accurate project requirements and potential features which will delight the target audience. Transition to Mobile Devices Once the entire web platform was developed, the Front Rush team decided to go mobile. But since the smartphone mobile market was still in its infancy, they were reluctant to initiate a full-scale mobile app development. GUI Constraints Another major challenge was to maintain consistent performance and look and feel across various mobile platforms – iPhone, Android and BlackBerry – because of various GUI constraints.

Case Study For further information, please contact us at presales@netsolutionsindia.com www.netsolutionsindia.com THE SOLUTION THE RESULT Cross Platform Experience The app architecture was structured on multiple platforms – iPhone, Android, BlackBerry and Windows Phone – using Model-View-Controller (MVC) architecture, which helped reduce project complexity and costs. Anytime Access Front Rush was a big success, both on desktop and mobile platforms. The app made the life easier for its users, giving them anywhere-anytime access to the app, which increased their efficiency and resulted in better management of day-to-day activities. Developing a POC first With an aim to make the Front Rush idea a reality, we preferred to go AGILE route by developing a POC (proof of concept) as part of strategy to test the product with the real customers. Native App Development Eventually, the Front Rush team got a good response for mobile website which led to its extension to native mobile devices like iPhone, iPad, Android, Blackberry and Windows Phone. Roll-Out of Cross Browser Mobile Website Keeping in mind the reluctance of Front Rush team to go with full-blown mobile app development, a cross-browser compatible mobile website was developed, which turned out to be a big hit. Third Party Integration To make athletic recruitment an effortless activity, third party integration capabilities were added to the Front Rush app, which helped coaches easily collaborate with various recruiters. Front Rush was a big success, both on desktop and mobile platforms. The app made the life easier for its users, giving them anywhere-anytime access to the App. “ ”
