New website will materialize as Entertainment, Ecommerce, Customer Service, Promotions and Sales to compete in today's online media market. It will promote an online platform for a Rich User Experience to its viewers.

  • 16. and got REJECTED
  • 17. and got REJECTED again
  • 18. I discovered A visually appealing clear, concise & highly focused website that is multi browser compatible need to be created for zeetv.com. During design and development of new website, attention must be paid on content monetization, driving traffic and keeping the visitor engaged.
  • 19. I threw out all the concepts ...and on a cup of coffee this brew...
  • 20. The Living Room "Today on Zee" content is auto scrolling or on mouse over scrolling. "Recent Episodes" take visitor to the screen to watch a video on a mega screen with related features and information. "Artist Gallery" is linked to all Zee TV artists listing page. "Fun Bag" contains all the interactive features like Fan Club, Discussion Forum, Community, Downloads, Mobile etc. "Wall Clock" take visitor to the Schedule Information. “The scenery” from the window represents channel packaging theme. “A TV screen” will take visitor to Media section “ZRU” Trophy is an external link for Zee Rishton ka Utsav.

  • 43. Concept & UX The user experience is reformatted for content monetization, driving traffic and keeping the visitor engaged. The layout is designed like an Indian living room to present the concept of Family Entertainment keeping the channel tag line “Har Pal Banaye Ek Naya Rishta” in mind. The objects used in the page background like butterflies, bubbles, creepers goes with the Channel Packaging theme. By incorporating the links of promotion of new shows, upcoming events, movies, site tour, contest, poll, reminders, download and schedule into the layout itself, I made it easier for users to find the information they wanted most. Each show has a separate page. From the clean, clear sub navigation menu on Show page below a colorful slide show, users are able to quickly and efficiently drill down for more specific information on Show, Cast, Photo Gallery, Episode Guide and Videos. On Schedule page, users can view Daily, Weekly and Prime Time slot in one shot. Thus I tried to change the user experience of Zee TV website.

You can, however, choose to view the homepage in four different colours - grey, black, purple, yellow. Features: A candy bar right on top give you the day's prime-time schedule and links to interactive features, galleries and news about the channels. Each show's page has blogs from hosts, recaps and other videos.

You can, however, choose to view the homepage in four different colours - grey, black, purple, yellow. Features: There are constant promos of upcoming shows and each show has a webpage. There is a section dedicated to cool mobile-compatible downloads.

A spot check on the Television websites of India NDTV Imagine www.ndtvimagine.com Source: Hindustan Times, September 11, 2009 (Newspaper, India) Homepage: Neat, uncluttered but a regular website. The homepage has the day's schedule, stills from shows, links and polls. The page also links to the Facebook and Twitter pages of the channel. Features: The website itself has the usual downloads and links. Each show's webpage has forums, episode guide and a countdown to when the next episode of the show airs.

A spot check on the Television websites of India Sony TV www.setindia.com Source: Hindustan Times, September 11, 2009 (Newspaper, India) Homepage: Set against the backdrop of a clear blue sky and open green fields, the website offers the days's schedules, promos and even downloadable widgets on the channel. An annoying thing is the watermark video that runs between the background and foreground, like haunting ghosts. Features: There aren't very many funky features even on the shows's webpages. But there's synopsis, downloads, videos, and space for people to interact with the star cast.

  • 50. A spot check on the Television websites of India Zee TV www.zeetv.com Source: Hindustan Times, September 11, 2009 (Newspaper, India) Homepage: This one's a delight! In keeping with the 'family channel' theme, the homepage is designed like a warm, comfy drawing room, complete with an LCD screen, a plush sofa and shopping bags. Links to other pages are worked into the layout - click on the VCD rack for a list of upcoming movies and the fish bowl for a tour of the site. Features: As with all other channel sites, each show has it's own webpage with recap videos and discussion forums. However, the news and gossip section isn't always up-to-date.
  • 51. Result The redesigned website launched in May 2009 with positive response from end users and industry experts. Since the launch of the redesigned visitors website have increased 5 folds .
