Social media websites, like facebook, linkedin, twitter, blogs and a host of others, can build your brand, but it can also tear it down faster then you ever thought possible. But only if used improperly or if you and or your business do not deliver the "expected\' product or service you promised. With that said, social media allows you to really create RAVING FANS! How? When you read, and listen to what people are saying about your brand, your business, your service, your product-it enables you to take a step back and RETHINK your business strategy. And then move forward to resolve the problems at hand. Social media enables you to respond, quickly(in some cases, realtime), and overdeliver beyond your customers expectations- complete that task, and you will in fact create followers of the BRAND- A"TRIBE" AS SETH GODIN WOULD SAY.
The following slides will give you a fundamental understanding of social media. We zoomed in on 3, but if you can understand them, you are on your way to understanding social media.-the 3 sites we focused on are linkedin, twitter and facebook. Facebook is growing to the tune of 500,000 new enrollments per day and twitter is growing at 5-10,000 per day. Two distinctly different forms of social media, but very important tools to use in your business strategy!
