    • Earth Hour started in 2007 in Sydney, Australia when 2.2 million homes and businesses turned their lights off for one hour to make their stand against climate change
    • Earth Hour had become a global sustainability movement with more than 50 million people across 35 countries participating
    • Earth Hour has done a lot to raise awareness of climate change issues.

  • 18. Energy Saving Tips
    • Improved energy efficiency of lightning's by using compact fluorescent lights lamps (CFL) instead of Incascadent Bulbs
    • Improved heat insulation and building designs
    • Switch off the geyser
    • Install aerated shower heads to minimize hot water consumption
    • Switch lights off
    • Keep lids on the pot when you cook to conserve heat and energy;
    • Dont leave electrical appliances switched on when not in use.
    • Boil only the amount of water you need instead of a full pot or kettle
    • Close the fridge door every time you take things out. Check that the seal closes properly
