  4. 4. The MessageExploration Time!§  What is your mission?§  What is the story of your organization?§  Who are the people?§  Who uses your services or products?§  Why do you exist?§  What do you want your business’ brand box tolook like?
  5. 5. The Message3 Versions:§  Long message – Who you are, what you do, whyyou do it, what makes you unique.§  Short message – Who you are, what you do, maybewhy you do it.§  Tagline – It answers the most important of thequestion or frames the product or service for you.
  6. 6. The ToolsTwo things to remember:§  You want your organization’s message to be in frontof people two times:•  when they need you•  before they need you.§  Tools one organization uses to raise awarenessabout their services or products will be different thananother organization.
  7. 7. The ToolsWhere your story lives:§  Website, blog - Where the heart of your content andmessages resides.§  Physical collateral, signage, locations.Sharing your message with the unsuspecting:§  Public relations§  Advertising§

  9. 9. The BoxEvery piece of informationsomeone hears orexperiencesrelated to yourorganization builds thebrand box in their mind.It requires consistency inmessage AND repetitionof message.
