Design challenge
For introducing to the market a new generation of point-of-sales payment terminals with a large, 16-bit colour display, AtosWorldlineturned to Namahn to explore the full potential of the display and to create a user-friendly and appealing user interface.

Ideation
In aworkshop with AtosWordline and an external animation expert, we examined the potential of the new hardware for customer interaction, performed a role play of the payment experience, and explored opportunities for using colour, typography and animation to great effect.

Conceptual design
We created mock-ups presenting alternatives for the use of typography, colour and animation, icons and buttons, and logos and images. Our conceptual design also covered screen flow, user actions, navigation and page layout.

Storyboards
We visualised the customer’s payment flow as well as the merchant’s administration flow through a sequence of still images. It enabled us to present dynamic behaviourwithout the need to create complex animations.

Visual design
We delivered the visual design including icons, logos and images. AtosWorldline developers benefited by receiving a complete set of digital assets.
