      • Movement :
        • Travel forward, backwards, and change directions quickly and safely

      TEKS

        • Allow others equal turns, invite others
        • to participate in game
      TEKS
    • Requirements:
      • a large play area
      • a large group of players to play:
      • some as trees
      • some as squirrels
      • others as foxes
        • Lead will pick at least 12 students
        • Two students will become 1 tree
        • they will face each other and hold hands
        • they will raise their arms over their heads
      TREES
      • must be inside the tree to safe from the fox
      • a squirrel without a home can take another
      • squirrel’s home
      • squirrel must leave tree on opposite side
      Squirrels
    • tag any loose squirrels squirrels tagged are out FOXES
    • Remove Trees
      • once a few squirrels are tagged, take out a few trees
      • someone with a chain saw will cut down trees
    • P r o b l e m
      • habitat changes
      • squirrels are all hunted down
      • discuss with students what went wrong
      • what can they do different??????
      • start new game with different students playing different positions
      Game Over
      • Most importantly promote teamwork
      • respect for others during game
      • demonstrate effective communication skills
