Those interested in maximizing the SAT/ACT scores of low-income students, and particularly test scores for Black and Latino students, have few role models. Six KIPP high schools, with differing groupings of predominantly low-income students, are accumulating a considerable body of experience in this area, and have demonstrated some preliminary successes. The presenters will share what they have learned so far, and will encourage a rich discussion about how to best address the multiple challenges still to overcome.
