Nancy began her real estate career in 1973, working in sales for a nationally known condo development company headquartered in Chicago. She formed Renaissance Realty Group, Inc. in 1985. Multi-faceted, The Renaissance Companies have engaged in real estate brokerage and development activities and have developed several successful condo/rowhouse projects in which Nancy was general and managing partner. In 1989, Nancy formed RRG Development, Inc. as the vehicle to develop low-to-moderate income housing. In 1994, she launched Renaissance Social Services, a 501(c)3 company providing supportive housing services to RRG developments. Now a fully independent company, RSSI is providing essential services to other developers in addition to Renaissance. Among her other business ventures: former general partner/developer of a racquetball facility in Nancy J. Kapp Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; former general partner of a 242-unit apartment complex in Columbus, President Ohio. Her industry-related activities include being the founding member of Condex Residential Information Service, an MLS for condos and co-ops in Chicago. She is an Illinois licensed real estate broker. Additionally, Nancy served four years as chairman of the Fund Raising Committee for the Muscular Dystrophy Association’s Chicago Area Chapter; founding member of the North Elston Business Organization and has been a member of several condo associations and local community groups. She lives and works in the Bucktown area of Chicago. She has raised four children and continues to pursue the dream of making a difference.Jeanmarie joined the Renaissance team in 1989, after an eight-year experience in amiddle-market commercial bank in Chicago. She is a licensed real estate broker in theState of Illinois.She is the head of operations for The Renaissance Companies and manages the generalcontractor and architect for all developments. Together with her team of professionaldesigners and contractors, she has overseen the development of housing projects that arevalued additions to their communities. Her responsibilities include all exterior andinterior finish selections and building design and space-planning oversight. It is herfervent desire to produce quality affordable housing that doesnt look like affordablehousing. She believes that the Renaissance projects are clear demonstrations of this.In 2004, she was one of five founding members of We Do Care, a non-profit thatfounded and produced the Barrington Freedom Festival, a family event designed tosupport the US Military. She and a co-founder continued on to work with FreedomCalls (a non-profit providing video-conferencing services to deployed troops and theirfamilies), producing their first-year anniversary website movie. Jeanmarie KappJeanmarie lives in the northwest suburbs of Chicago where she endeavors each year to Executive Vice Presidentadd to her garden (with the help of her hole-digging dogs).
Colleen came to Renaissance in 1991 as the Leasing Agent for Wicker ParkPlace. As the result of her successful efforts, she was promoted to the positionof Leasing and Marketing Director in 1994. In 2002, she was named SeniorVice President of Management and is responsible for all management andleasing activities for the company.Her real estate career began in 1987, when a northside developer employed heras a leasing agent in the very active Lincoln Park area. At that time, sheacquired her Illinois real estate sales license and, in 1988, she joined a realestate brokerage office with an extensive portfolio of listings. She later becameaffiliated with a northside management company, specifically to perform thelease-up of a newly renovated property and was later promoted to LeasingManager.In her capacity as head of Management, she directly oversees all propertymanagers and coordinates ongoing leasing activities. She has successfullyreached company leasing goals at all properties and continues to work hard tomaintain full occupancies. Her substantial people skills enable her toeffectively manage both the leasing and marketing aspects of a very dynamicproduct. She has a very personal interest in ensuring that all residents aresatisfied customers of The Renaissance Companies. Colleen M.
