  2. 2. About NJARHOF<br />New Jersey Association of REALTORS® Housing Opportunity Foundation, Inc. (NJARHOF), which is a 501 (c) (3) organization whose mission is to foster increasing opportunities in New Jersey for safe, affordable housing. Funds provided to the Foundation go towards other 501 (c) (3) organizations throughout the state that offer home buyer education, develop public awareness and create affordable homeownership options.<br />
  3. 3. Why Helping Hands Towards Homeownership?<br /><ul><li>Housing affordability is still a challenge for many areas in New Jersey

  5. 5. There is a disparity between wages and the cost of homes
  6. 6. Helping Hands Towards Homeownership is building efforts to help the first-time home buyer sector of workforce housing enter the housing market

Our work now is to provide additional education resources and tools for potential home buyers</li></li></ul><li>“Helping Hands Towards Homeownership” goal is to<br />build on existing programs, NJARHOF is educating REALTORS® and workforce homebuyers on the housing resources and tools available to working families in New Jersey<br />These resources include:<br /><ul><li>Financial literacy workshops

  10. 10. NAR’s Employer Assisted Housing (EAH) Class
  11. 11. NAR’s Expanding Housing Opportunities Class

Community Outreach</li></li></ul><li>Financial Literacy<br />Helping Hands Towards Homeownership (NJARHOF) partnering with TD Bank and the various housing counselors in the area have different financial workshops throughout New Jersey<br /><ul><li>Each workshop is a two part seminar that is free to the public

The curriculum covers various areas of financial education such as borrowing basics, how to manage credit, loans, and goal-setting</li></li></ul><li>NJARHOF Housing Opportunity Resource Guide<br /><ul><li>Lists the many housing programs available in New Jersey and provides contact and background information on each program
