  • 1. December 17, 2006 Dear I am writing to ask you to join me in this year’s Annual Appeal. As you know those of us in leadership roles have the opportunity to demonstrate our passion for the Center’s mission by making a gift and ensuring that board participation is at 100%. We have always had great support from the board in a number of ways through United Way Donations, special events support and creative ways to bring new friends and donors to the work of this great organization. As all of us are acutely aware from our own mail boxes more people than ever are seeking support in our community – part of what makes our request compelling is not only the excellence of the services we provide to grieving children, teens and families but the lead we board members demonstrate. When requesting funds from individuals, corporations and foundations The Center is often asked about the participation of board members and we are always proud to share that 100% of our board not only gives in a variety of ways but that they also write a check to the annual fund. I have always been impressed by the spirit and compassion of our friends in the community. These are people who recognize the value of our services and in their immediate and heart felt generosity provide us with the resources to meet the needs of those who come to us to build hope out of heartbreak. In truth, they give because we give – our caring spurs their compassion too. So please join me in making a gift to the annual fund and ensuring that those who need our services can attend, free of charge for as long as they need. Sincerely, Kim True President
