  • 6. California libraries were overwhelmed by the number of people coming into their branches who needed to look for jobs using the public computers, but did not know how to use the Internet. Librarians were spending countless hours trying to train people on basic Internet literacy. jobscout was originally created as a solution to this problem. Over the course of a year, jobscout worked hand-in-hand with the California State Library to create a user-friendly, engaging, online platform that allows users to learn the Internet skills they need to find a job. Finding interest from a customer market of institutions, such as libraries, schools, social services and even employers looking to address the skills gap, jobscout went from a project with a mission to a mission-driven startup. jobscout Our Story Contact: Josh Bradley / bradley@discovertrail.com / 415.766.4591 Wednesday, August 7, 13
