    • Get Your Donations Faster What is Electronic Fund Transfer or EFT? EFT allows CanadaHelps to disburse donations directly into a charity’s bank account through direct deposit on a weekly basis. All charities registered with CanadaHelpsPLEASE NOTE: Charities not registered receive funds by EFT.with CanadaHelps will instead receivecheques on a monthly basis

    • The Donation Process Step TwoEnter donation details• Fund designation/instructions• Potential card request• Personal contact information• Payment information
    • The Donation Process Step Three Gift is submitted and tax receipt immediately emailed to the donor
    • The Donation Process Step Four Charity is notified by email when they’ve received a donation.
    • The Donation Process Step FiveDonation details appear in your account
    • Receiving Donor Information Full donor information: Name, mailing address, email address, message, honouree/memoriam card requests, donation amount, fund designation, donation source, etc.
    • REGISTERING WITH CANADAHELPS
    • Online Registration• Visit www.canadahelps.org and click REGISTER YOUR CHARITY
    • Sending Banking Information• Fax or mail in the form with a void cheque• NOTE: please make sure it is an official cheque or banking document, printed (not written)
    • COMMON QUESTIONS
    • How does the donor get their tax receipt? • CanadaHelps issues an electronic tax receipt to the donor for every donation • Donor can download, receive by email, store in their CanadaHelps account
    • Does CanadaHelps use my charity’s business number when they issue receipts?• CanadaHelps issues the tax receipts using our own business number• Your organization’s name is clearly stated• We issue them for you but not on your behalf
    • Where do I get the Donate Now button?• In your MyCharity account (once you sign up!)
    • Can we use CanadaHelps for ticket sales? • No, all donations made through CanadaHelps are receipted in full • Only donations can be processed through CanadaHelps
    • We have an online donation system already – can we still sign up?• Yes! CanadaHelps is non-exclusive.• Receive donations from a different source (many donors use CanadaHelps to make all of their donations)
