Additional Muskie Program Requirements Submit community service plans, internship documentation, transcripts, and semester and final reports by Muskie Program deadlines Complete 1-2 academic year(s) of full-time study and remain in good academic standing Full-time study Secure and participate in a full-time (35 hours per week) internship following the first academic year of study Perform a minimum of 40 hours of community service during the first year of study Internship Community Service

The Muskie Fellowship provides fellows with: <ul><li>J-1 Visa Support </li></ul><ul><li>Pre-Departure Orientation in home country </li></ul><ul><li>Round-trip airfare from the fellow’s home city to their host institution in the United States </li></ul><ul><li>Welcome Orientation in DC </li></ul><ul><li>Accident and Sickness coverage (ASPE) </li></ul><ul><li>Monthly allowance for living expenses </li></ul><ul><li>Partial tuition and mandatory university fees </li></ul><ul><li>Limited allowance for books </li></ul><ul><li>Pre-academic English-language training (if necessary) </li></ul><ul><li>A wide variety of alumni networking and training opportunities </li></ul>
