    • This classroom is a “No Whining Zone”. That means that there will be no whining , for ANY reason.
    • Everything that I do is in your best interest, so please…respect the “No Whining Zone” this year!

    • Any student who uses profanity, fights, damages school property (this includes the property of the teacher and other students), or is disrespectful (as defined by the teacher) will be sent to the office IMMEDIATELY .

    • Procedures are put in place for our classroom so you will know what is expected of you on a daily basis.
    • This will allow us to focus all of our attention on the wonderful world of writing and reading !
  • 28. Entering the room
    • Please enter quietly
    • Group Leader hands out writing journals
    • Sit in your assigned seat
    • Take out your materials
    • Review the agenda
    • Begin bell work assignment
  • 29. Asking for Help
    • If you need help, please put the red tent up.
    • If you are clear about instructions, keep the green tent up!
  • 30. When you are tardy
    • Enter quietly
    • Sign Notebook
    • Do NOT distract the class!
      • A classmate WILL catch you up at an appropriate time!
    • Have a seat and take out your materials

    • See Homework buddy
    • Go to file cabinet for information and sign notebook!
    • Retrieve any handouts

      • If you do NOT have a paper to hand in, fill out the Student Responsibility Sheet and put on the TOP of the stack!

    • PLEASE participate : You will often hear me say, “ Actively participate or Individually demonstrate !”
    • I want to hear what you have to say
    • Make all questions and comments relevant to the current discussion
    • If your question is off the topic , write it down and ask later.

    • You must ask permission
    • Do not ask during a classroom discussion unless it is an emergency

    • Will be graded every 2 weeks!
    • Keep them organized
    • If you are not sure what you should include, the master notebook is on my desk
